Asrock Memeory question..

I just set up an Asrock Dual SATA II M1695 today with 4X512mb Crucial Ballistix PC3200 for a total of 2 GB.

Should the memory be set at 1T or 2T (some reviews say the mobo is more stable at 2T if all 4 dimms are in use..)

be default the mainboard wants to run the ram at 166 mhz instead of 200. The cpu and ram itself both run at 200 mhz FSB, why would the mobo down it to 166 by default?

And I was curious... Using an Ati Radeon 9800 Pro, should I enable or disable fastwrites?

and the memory size you can choose 64/128/256... no idea what that actually does tho as its a bios setting..

thanks for the advice!

Hi,

Even with 2 DIMMs I use 2T for stability.

Up the RAM to at least 200 Mhz--I have no idea why it defaults to 166.

The AGP aperture size determines how much system memory can be used for graphics when the on-board video card memory gets filled up.
