Sure they test two different motherboards, when they could have tested the Extreme11 without the RAID ROM intergrated against another Extreme11 with the RAID ROM intergrated, but it does show a difference against the Rampage IV.

Coming to future models, x79 and z77 chipsets from ASRock :biggrin:

My god that is fast. My x58 wouldn't even be finished detecting all the SATA devices, much less starting the RAID controller by the time windows was finished. ASRock seems to be trying a lot of spunky ideas.

I hope that they do something for their Asrock 990FX Extreme4 board, with the AMD RAID ROM. If I select UEFI RAID 3TB+ Unlocker mode to "UEFI" instead of "Legacy ROM", I cannot boot my PC at all.

You *might* be in luck soon... the 990FX Ext9 just got a RAID UEFI update, whether or not it has any impact on speed... no idea.
