This isn't my machine, but a buddie's, and it has a most bizarre behavior, where front mic in works fine, but there's high frequency interference on the rear audio, which is quite annoying.
He doesn't like using the front audio, because it's ugly
And anyway, the rear audio should work. I don't really have much hope for anything short of an RMA curing this, buy maybe someone has an idea.
And I doubt an RMA is an option, seeing as he spent 3 days setting it up, due to a variety of UEFI, licence, IDE issues
