Looking at putting a AMD system together using the ASRock FM2A88X Extreme6+ and pairing it with the AMD A10-6800K Richland.
While reading reviews on the 6+ one review stated that when a socket FM2 CPU is used that the PCI lanes are only compatible with the 2.0 standard.
Then it goes on to say that the 6+ does not support the Virtu Universal MVP so you can combine the processing power APU with a add on video card. Then went on to say that other motherboards were available that make use of the Virtu Universal MVP.
Watched a NewEgg video about the Trinity APU's and they guy from AMD talked about the big advantage MVP with approved add on AMD video cards.
Since it is a budget build as much as I like the ASRock Extreme6+ especially since it is on sale right now at NewEgg would like to get a board that can take advantage of the APU.
With the new processors on the horizon I would like to keep all options open and really do not know how they will affect upgrade paths in the future.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
