Hi,

Does anyone know how to find the settings for the epu in the BIOS? Is it even there?

My gpu isn't running at the speed it should.. (ingame around 60% for arma2 dayz) This results in poor fps.
And i read that if u change the epu to max performance it will fix this problem.
But i cant seem to find that option anywhere

i5 3570k
7970 hd (latest driver)
windows 7 ultimate (installed on ssd)
directx 11

Thanks in advance!

Are you sure you aren't CPU limited? Is VSYNC on? I don't know if the default EPU settings would hurt your GPU performance like that.

Tnx for the reply!

Vsync is off. I disabled c1e in the bios. (from what i understand it causes the cores to sleep when they should be working) but i dont see any difference in the fps.

In left for dead 2 i get a constant of 60fps everything maxed out. The gpu only uses 15-20%. In dayz it should be running at 90% or higher as i get low frame rates.

Anyone knows where i can change the epu settings?

Thanks in advance

Check GPU-Z to see if your vid card is running at the right PCIE speeds. Also, did you install the chipset drivers?

Tnx for the reply!

I have just installed the chipset drivers ( these are the INF drivers from the motherboard cd right?) Dont know why i didnt do this before :)

GPU-Z is showing me this:

I think the numbers are correct.

Still i only get 20 fps in arma with a cpu usage around 40-60%

Thanks in advance for any help!

yes you're right! I had the vsync option crossed in left for dead. Now im getting framerates above 200.

for some reason my gpu is reaching 99% in arma2 and dayz when looking at the sea. which is weird because there's not much to render there. When looking at towns or walking around one, my gpu usage drops to 40-60% as well as the fps. Im guessing its just a bad written code or driver issue..

I can play crysis above 60fps with everything maxed out so it cant be a hardware issue.. I made my peace with it :)

Tnx for the help guys!
