Hello guys,

I have recently upgraded my pc with a new mobo, cpu, ram and SSD.

My current setup:

Motherboard=Asrock Extreme4
CPU=i5-3570k
RAM=Corsair Vengeance 2x4gb low profile
SSD=Samsung 840 EVO

GPU=MSI R6850 (from my old build)
PSU=Antec Earthwatts 650w

After messing about for a LONG time I finally got "everything" to work.
The problem is when I plug my GPU in the motherboard i cannot get my screen to work.. I've tried connecting the monitor to my GPU, no screen, monitor to mobo, no screen.
Now when I remove my GPU and connect my monitor to the motherboard my screen just works and so does the rest(im on my computer now typing this :whiste:).
I have tried almost everything.
Reset my CMOS, disabled onboard GFX, tried both PCI slots, checked the wires a 100 times and yes I didnt forget to connect to 6pin power to my GPU.

My GPU worked before (2 days ago before I removed it from my old mobo) do you guys think I somehow killed my GPU? or could it be something else.
I just think its strange I also get no screen when I connect my monitor to the mobo while my GPU is plugged in..

Thanks in advance :wub:

You may have an incompatibility problem with the 6850. I would highly doubt that that the graphics card was damaged after being removed from your old build. I've seen it done, but the chances of it happening are very slim.

Edit: Are you using HDMI through your 6850? Apparently others have resolved this issue by using the DVI connections instead.
