It's locked at 200, It lets me change the multiplyer but not the actual fsb, wierd? It's there but when I press enter to try to increase nothing opens up, as if I didn't press enter at all.

Also theres no htt anywhere, I'm talking about the thing thats usually set at 5x and you need to lower it to 4x or 3x, its not there, wierd?

Any help would be appreciated, I tried searching but there's so much out on that board.

Thanks

*Can I just raise the multiplyer and leave dram at 200? aka no devider*

The HTT multiplier is under Chipset Settings or something similar (I forget the exact name). It's also not written as a multiplier, but called "CPU-NB Link Speed", and there are 5 settings from 200MHz to 1000MHz (corresponding to 1x-5x). As for changing the "FSB", you'll want to set the very first option in the overclocking page (again, I forget what it's called) to something like "CPU/PCIE Async". If you need more help (and you probably will, since I can't remember what anything's called 😛), let me know...

Also, you almost certainly can't increase the CPU multiplier from its default; unless you have an FX chip, all Athlon 64's/Opterons are multiplier locked (though you can use lower ones).

Yeah, It's set at Async... I figured out the htt miltiplyer thanks.

Still can't change the fsb...

Hmm...I don't suppose you could post a picture of your BIOS screen (where you would change the FSB)? I'm not sure what exactly you're seeing and why you wouldn't be able to change the speed...what BIOS version are you using?

latest bios, 1.4

I'll get my camera...

1.4 is actually pretty old...I don't remember using that specific version myself, but you should still be able to overclock with it...

(I'm using 1.80 right now on my own board, and there's an even newer version 1.90 out already.)

Oh, wait a sec...I just re-read your OP...this may be a stupid question, but it sounds like you're expecting a menu of numbers to pop up when you press Enter on the FSB field, and I don't believe this board's BIOS does that...have you tried just using the +/- keys or typing in a number?

No, gonna try nowb 🙂

Taht was it, but I did 9x245 and at boot it comes up as 2.2, right click properties on my computer comes up as 2.2, cpu-z comes up as 2.4. Whats wrong here? and as long as load is under 50 on the cpu its fine right?

Thanks for all your help

9x245 is 2205, so the BIOS and the System Properties are reporting the correct speed...and CPU-Z isn't, for some reason (which is strange). Are you using the latest version of CPU-Z (I think it's 1.32)?

And yeah, load temps under 50C are fine.

I have 1.31 so Ill get the new one, and cpu-z is wrongly reading 10x multiplyer when I'm really using 9x in the bios, so that's why its reading 2400 instead of 2200. I'll get the new cpu-z and see what happens.
