I am finally going to overclock my 3200, as stated in a topic not many days ago, and have decided to keep it cool with the Thermaltake Big Typhoon. My question is, is it even possible on this mobo? I understand you need holes in the motherboard in order to mount it(no brainer), are there holes under the plastic piece holding my stock cooler on? Or is it not possible at all? Thanks in advance.

Yes, there are holes underneath the stock retention bracket. Did the heatsink come with its own retention bracket that you have to install?

Yes, the TT BT will be coming with 2 brackets that go on top of the heatsink, and underneath the motherboard. I assume the stock plastic bracket that is attached to the mobo is easy to remove?

Yeah, all you need to do is lift up on the little plastic pin things that are in the stock retention bracket, to loosen it.
