Hey people,
I have an ASRock Conroe 1333-1394 LGA 775 mobo. On the box it's written that it's compatible with all 1333/1066/800/533 CPUs except for quad cores (it's also compatible with wolfdale 45nm CPUs).
The thing is I'm working a lot on 3D modeling and rendering and can greatly benefit from a quad core, so could I flash the bios of the mobo to make it support quads as well (if there isn't any hardware particularities to prevent this)? If yes, are there any risks either for the CPU or the mobo (or for any other hardware) in doing this?
Thanks for your answers!
