ASRock AM1B ITX w/5150 wont power off

I built this system today. The system will not power off. I tell it to shut down from Win 8.1 and it just resets.

I couldn't find any options in bios to tell it what the power switch does.
It is updated to latest bios.

Help please?

A lot of bad reviews on that board.. Lots of problems with rebooting, shutting down, etc. Some people had success when they disabled C6 state in BIOS. Others found that a different power supply made the board work properly, but many boards were returned..

I turned off the power saving features like C6 and cool n quiet. Powers off now!

Also it had randomly reset on my mom while she was working. If this happens again the board is going back.

hmmmm

i've got an intel dz68bc motherboard that won't shut off...

im going to try what you did and see if that fixes it.

thanks.

I have this problem with a GA-F2A88X-D3H board I just got. I haven't really decided what I'm going to do about it. I don't really want to turn the power features off. But its a hassle (and cost) to return a motherboard that is mostly working.

After trying a million bios options on mine, I updated from the F4 to the F5 bios and it seems to have fixed the problem (I only tested once). I'm pretty happy about that since RMAing the board was going to be a big PITA.
