My lovely old 939 system got fried in a power surge; so i needed some sort of reasonable upgrade to it for the short term. It seems that everything outside of my CPU and Motherboard were actually left unscathed; so I decided to re-use them.

I was looking at the price for 939pin processers and DDR ram; and i decided upon upgrading to AM2.

I've used the ASrock 939dualsata board before, so for a budget board i found the ASrock AliveNF5-eSATA2+ on newegg; looked through a few motherboard review sites; it looked good; so i bought it.

It's up and running now, completely stable for the few days i've had it; but right after i bought it; it seemed to have dissapeared off the face of the planet - and I have yet to find anyone who's ever actually heard of the thing or used it.

I'm mainly just curious about overclocking it a bit; as it has some rather nice overclocking options. However; trying to even change things a little bit caused an error on booting up that required a CMOS clear. Which was slightly more annoying due to the placement of the clear cmos jumper. (Which somehow also caused the computer to reboot as soon as the power was plugged in; scared the hell out of me - i need to figure out what the hell happened there.)

I searched newegg today and they had an "open box" version left; but no retail ones. The board is this:

Anyone else have any experience with it?
