I'm in the process of getting my HTPC installed with Windows 7 64-bit MCE so I can use media center to run my Hauppauge HVR-950Q instead of the horrific LiquidTV Tivo by Nero that came with it. Looking at ASRock's website I don't see any drivers for Windows 7 and was wondering which ones I should have ready for when I install Windows 7? Should I go to AMD's site and get the HD3200 chipset drivers? When I entered what I had it took me to this page. Is this correct? I hate being a newb!

I will not be using the onboard sound or ethernet so I don't need drivers for those.

Here's my motherboard, for reference, and the drivers they have available for it:

Thanks!

I didn't need the chipset drivers for Win7 installation on my 780G. (AHCI enabled) It comes with Catalyst dated 4/24/2009, which in my guess is Catalyst 9.4. Only thing I had to install was VIA sound. Same on my 790X, I needed zero driver installation except that I installed the latest video card drivers just because. ;)

I suggest you install Windows 7 without worrying about drivers first, and see how it goes from there. If something is not functioning or has a question mark in device manager, then find the right drivers.

I had to load the AMD AHCI drivers at OS installation to get the port multiplier on my eSATA.

Not sure if that is of interest to you ...

Just an update to say that Windows 7 is amazing! I haven't had to install a single driver for anything and everything runs very well. I take that back, I did install the driver for my HDTV USB device but I'm sure Windows 7 would have taken care of that. Chipset drivers, video drivers, bluetooth keyboard and mouse drivers, sound drivers, wireless pci card...everything.

Thanks again.
