Asrock A300, AMD Raven Ridge 2200G and Windows 7

Hello guys, I just bought the following components and I'm trying to install Win 7 but I always got the BSOD and bootloop.

- Asrock A300
- AMD Raven Ridge 2200G
- 2 x PC19200 4GB V-Gen 2400 MHz
- ADATA SX8200 PRO 256GB NVMe SSD

At first, I tried installing Windows 7 using the MSI Smart tool to get the USB and NVMe drivers. When it didn't work, I switched to Gigabyte's Windows Image Tool. I kept getting BSOD right after every Win 7 install.

I finally gave up and installed Win 10 and it's working. Then I saw this:

So, if it's possible to install Win 7 with my Raven Ridge 2200G, I wanna try. Can someone please guide me? Many thanks in advance.

If you follow that link, you will see that they are using Win7 with an RX 560. I don't think that there is room in an ASRock Deskmini A300 chassis for an RX 560 discrete GPU.

I'm somewhat savvy at Ryzen installs, and I've gotten Win7 64-bit to install to both a Deskmini H110W with a Kaby Lake CPU, and a Gigabyte AX370-Gaming ATX mobo with a Ryzen 1st-gen CPU, using Gigabyte's Win7 64-bit install tool, but I've not yet been able to install Win7 64-bit to a Ryzen APU rig, especially not using the APU graphics onboard. I suspect that the reddit thread pic was done using a Ryzen CPU and a dGPU, and then swapping in a Ryzen APU after installing the proper drivers, bypassing the act of doing the install of Win7 64-bit on the APU itself. (Which, as you found, seems to want to BSOD at some point every time.)

Hi, Larry! I've no doubt you're tech savvy - been seeing you around here a lot. Hence, a Lifer! ;D

Actually, I think you're right and you just gave me an idea how to install Win 7 64-bit on my rig. That dude from reddit had MSI B350 mobo and probably a RX 560 dGPU. Will definitely try it once I can get my hands around parts for a similar rig. ;D

Edit: Where can I find Raven Ridge APU drivers for Win 7 64-bit?

Thanks Lifer!
