My second computer (Rig 2 in sig.) keep randomly rebooting. Its no longer overclocked like shown in my sig, its now on stock settings running at 200x10, mem is at 1:1, everything else is set to auto, bios is on default settings. I cant figure out why this computer keeps rebooting.

The last two crash dumps that I've taken a look at both said something about the ntoskrnl.exe, the ones before that it was a atidmg...something file, but I installed newer ATI drivers and that went away. I'm considering a reformat and a reinstall of Vista x64 an dsee if that will help...anyone else have any suggestions? or problems with this board?

You can change bios versions if you have a floppy drive. I wouldn't use the windows program for flashing. I used bios version 1.60, or you can try updating to 2.30. If you decide to change boards, computer geeks has a bunch of foxconn 939 boards fairly cheap right now. Not that many left at other venders.

Hopefully it isn't a hardware issue. Any chance an earlier restore point would solve the lockups ? My Asrock 939 is still rolling along - damn near bulletproof.

I have bios 2.30 installed right now. I do not have any restore points....I disabled Vista restore.

So how about pulling some RAM sticks and trying just a pair instead of all banks filled ? I doubt its RAM related, but its easy enough to test that theory.

Now the problem has gotten worse. At times when I'm just about to get to the Vista load screen it hangs. I tried to boot in safemode and saw that it hangs on crcdisk.sys. It has been doing this for a couple of days now, but I removed some ram tried to take things out one at a time to see what is causing the problem and eventually it started to boot into windows but after sometime later of normal use it will just reboot again.....

I've tried using just one stick of ram at a time and they all just hangs at the crcdisk.sys part.
