well got beta 2 installed, it did break the 270 wall I was having, but man this is a quirky bios, doesn't read any CPU info correct and is generally jsut wierd. but I did get my HTT to 295 now which is my new wall. still feel this chip has more in it but i'm happy with 2.65 which is more than fast enough for me. might do the voltage hack to see if I can get it to 2.7-2.8 range but from reading voltage doesn't do much for these chips

Thats exactly what I don't want. Quirky just doesn't work for me. I need my rig to work when I turn it on, and keep working untill I turn it off again.
It would fun to crack 3Ghz, but not at the price of having a machine that isn't 100% rock solid.

Form what I've read, for Optys you get to a point on stock voltage, then you have to add quite abit of voltage to get even a small increase in speed. But with this board, adding Voltage is very limited without the Vcore mod. You could probably get close to 2.8 with 1.55V, but that's only if you feel comfortable doing the mod.

did some more playing and its defenatly stuck at 2.65, pletny fast for now. my main bottleneck right now is RAM (****** old 2700 stuff) and my video card (Radeon 9700) once I get hose remedied maybe i'll turn my attn back to trying to get this thing a better clock
