I just put it together.
amd 64 3800
pny fx 5900 agp video
1 gig ozc ddr 3200

powers on.

no video at all to the monitor

I put the video card in my old p3 machine and it boots right up.
Not sure what to check next.
could it be the board mouted and making a bad connection to the chassis?

I had the same exact problem except i had a fx 5900xt, my problem was that the mobo only supports 1.5v cards and mine was 3.3v.
If thats the case with you then it looks like your gona need to get a new card

I think I'd take the board out of the case and test it on the work table to eliminate the possibility of a short inside the case....

This board has a cold boot problem. Do a search on ASROCK 939dual cold boot on Google. You will see what I mean.

May be that is your problem considering that it happens with both graphics cards.

ASRock has released BIOS 1.20 dated 9/02/05 which can be downloaded from their web site. Version 1.20 fixed the cold boot problems we experienced. A quote from AT review of this board...dont take my word for it...download it and flash and see if it fixes the problem.

I have the cold boot problem with BIOS 1.5 released 12/08/05! I have not tried 1.2. Are you saying that only 1.2 fixes the problem?

mine wouldn't boot when i put it together either. After i put in only one stick of memory, it booted to BIOS, where i changed the RAM timings. It seems the SPD timings were off and i had to change them manually. now i'm running dual channel just fine.

Does your PSU have the 4-pin ATX +12v connector for the CPU power and do you have it connected to the motherboard ? The system won't boot at all if you don't have that plugged in.
