Hi all,
You Guys might be my last hope of getting my Pioneer DVR215bk SATA drive to work with my Motherboard.
This Burner will not burn any Brand of DVD-R or DVD+R i throw at it. But it will burn any DVD-RW i put in.
I have updated the burner Firmware to the latest 1.18, i have updated the Motherboard to the latest VIA Chipset drivers. (VIA SATA driver ver 2.30a).
I have posted this problem in a few other forums (tkArena) being one of them, but cannot get a satisfactory answer as to why the Pioneer wont burn.
One reply i recieved was that the Pioneer and Asus SATA burners are "Native" SATA burners and the rest are "Bridged" Burners (Bridged ATA/SATA). I'm not that Technical to understand that, so I'll take it on Face Value.
But if anyone here has had the same problem or can shed some light as to how i can fix it, I would be eternally greatful.
I have a couple of error log files (long) that i could post if required.
Cheers
