Asrock 4coredual-sata2 ddr2 problem

K so I've been running 2gb (2x1gb) of ddr 400 on this board for a while now. I bought 2gb of ddr2 667 (2x1gb) and everytime i log into windows it crashes. Sometimes instantly, other times it takes a while. So I just put the ddr back in and it works fine. Anyone know what would cause this. The memory tests good and no I'm not putting ddr and ddr2 in at the same time.

are you overclocking?

what are your BIOS setting for the memory?

solved in motherboards forum.

BIOS needed a complete clearing, as you just suggested.
