lol, is there anything this cheapo little pill won't do?

Anti-Pain
Anti-Inflammatory
Prevents heart attacks
Increases odds of survival if taken after a heart attack
and now, may even fight breast cancer
few if any negative side effects.

Yet no one uses it. I swear, every time I have a headache or something I ask "do you have any aspirin?" They say "no, but I have (Tylanol/Advil/Ibuprofin/etc)". I mentally roll my eyes and decline. Truly a triumph of marketing over common sense.

I never even have it for headaches, I always do tylenol or ibuprofen. Not sure why, i thought it was just inferior for those.

Well to be honest, I rarely get headaches; normally when I'm taking aspirin it's because I got banged up on the soccer field or playing hockey or something, so the anti-inflammatory effects are a big help.

Not sure why I chose headaches as my random example, although I know my parents take it for headaches.

These drugs are all NSAIDS - they all have anti-inflammatory effects and analgesic properties.

Aspirin happens to be a blood thinner, so it is not for all situations.

Ibuprofen and Acetaminophen work in a different ways, so they may work better for some situations than others.

My dad ALWAYS had a supply of aspirin. I think he maybe did take one a day, he's the only one I've ever known to take it, though.
