I was trying to use CDex to rip a cd and its said I need to install the APII drivers for my cd-rom. In device manager it shows its working properly and dma is enabled. How or where do I get these drivers from? My cd-rom is compaq and the cd-rw is creative 12x10x32.

Use a program that has Aspi support built-in like Nero, or grab ForceAspi. (You need something like Winace or Winrar to uncompress the file if you don't already have it.)
