Aspienum.vxd error on Win98

So being computer illiterate I prob just F'd up something else on my comp. But essentially I tried to d-load Direct DVD 4 from download.com. It didn't work so I uninstalled it, but now I am getting an error that there is an aspienum.vxd file needed for something on my computer, yet I do not believe I ever did need it for anything on my computer. You guys think this could be a virus? Or, if not, anyone know where the hell I can get this damned file so I can open windows without the error message?
