ASPI ripping problem

I've been using Audio Catalyst and installing the Adaptec ASPI layer after I format with XP for a while now. However, since I formatted and did the same thing Audio Catalyst won't allow me to check the box to rip using ASPI. I also tried installing CDEX and it came up with some ASPI message. This is the first time this has happened.

It has worked on all my previous systems, the new system I'm doing this on is an A64 3200+ with a DFI LanParty UT Ultra-D. All my drives are the same and I'm still using WinXP Pro, nothing is different except the few new components.

Any ideas on how to fix this?

Thanks
