"ASPI Initialization Error", DeepBurner Error Message

that's the error message i'm getting, using a fresh DVD
out of a stack of Memorex DVD blanks.

this is a SATA DVD recorder.

Help ! how do i get this system to write DVD's ?

OS - XP32 SP2
recording software - Deepburner 1.80

1) check for the latest firmware for the dvdrw drive
2) try different media
3) try just burning standard data with xp built in software, select a bunch of files and right click -> sent to -> drive letter of dvdrw, then balloon will popup saying data is ready to be written
incase it is something to do with deepburner and support for the drive
