a lager is a kind of beer. it does say lager, but there may not be a TABC adminstrative regulation defining lager like there is for beer.

I think you've just answered your own question then. I've never seen any form of beer or lager that is labeled both beer and lager. I always thought this was because technically a lager is not a beer. I very well could be mistaken though so feel free to correct me.

nope, lager is a kind of beer
