Built into the new workstation X470 mATX board from ASRock.
Can I use this just for basic non motion 2D monitoring of a Virtual Mixer for an Audio App.
If so I won’t have to buy a 1U Chassis with 2 x FULL HEIGHTH/FULL LENGTH slots for a GFX Card.

Below is a Picture of the Mixer I made that I occasionally have the need for a manual over ride, otherwise it’s totally automated by the 88 note Master MIDI Controller.

Thanks

Your question is worded a bit strangely. But if I get what you are asking, if the CPU you chose has onboard graphics, it will display whatever you need from a 2d standpoint just fine.

3700X is what I’ll be using, no GFX.
The motherboard has the ASPEED AST2500 DDR4 256MB graphics chip.
This is what I’m hoping might be capable of the meager Visuals I require,
If not I can still use a skinny card and the PCI-e 1X Audio Card on a riser in my 1U ATX Chassis.
I’ve got 1 slot chassis laying around I’d rather use, which is why I Hope this built in GFX on the ASRock board would be enough.

At the bottom of my racks is the 1U Chassis I have a few of.
Supermicro CSE-512-600Bs. I like these. The dual slot PCI Chassis I could use is 275 bucks w/ PSU.

Don’t want to buy one if I don’t have to.

Not much discussion on the Internet. Specs say the ASPEED AST2500 can be equipped with up to 1 GB memory; so it has enough memory for a bunch of basic windows in MS Windows.

Yes, it will work fine.
My workstation uses the AST2400 and has no problem keeping up at 1920x1200 @ 60 for all work applications.
You won't be playing anything but the most basic games though (if you do that while the machine is compiling :))

Thanks Micrornd.
I’ve seen these forever on Supermicro boards and never tried them
Just wanted somebody who has, so thanks.

1U AMD 3700X @ 65 watts is going to a sweet build.
