Well i still need to build the site as well. There are many e-commerce php packages that would be fantastic for my site, except none of them seem to have the ability to customize a product (i.e. a computer) and get a price.

I assumed since the file on alienwares site was a .asp file, that it had something to do with asp... But maybe its javascript im looking for...
