Building a new system, to support vital in house data. Decided to use AMD and ECC memory and was considering EPOX EP-8KTA3+, until I heard the AnandTech article on 100/133MHz jumper on the EPOX 8KTA3. Is this Bios fixable or strictly board design hardware problem? I read on posting on this site that the on board AC97 audio doesn?t work with DVD, which I will be using; can I hear more about audio and DVD this and the 8KTA3? Abit's board seems posible but heard about it being RMA return yoyo board, what you think?
I have been told by an online vendor that the 8KTA3+ are having problem with the Raid chip and that why it?s not for sell on the web. Any comments?
