I would like to know how to set the SKIP & BACK buttons. It seems like the skip is preset at 30 seconds and the back is preset at 10 seconds.

I would like to customize them.

Thanks

I have a new one.

2 vista PC's ( Home Premium)

One of them is set up as a "media server" running media center in the BR and feeding the 360 downstairs. Can I set-up the 2nd PC up as an Extender similar to the XBOX360 ? I really dont want to share folders and run Media Center (Full) on every other PC in the house.

Also, I would like to game on my HTPC is there a good desk type thing so I could use a keyboard/mouse on my sofa?

Didn't see this answered, but I'd like to hear whats available. Also, is the new AMD 3650 All In Wonder HD card with HD accessory worth the $180 its listed at ?? TIA !!

I have a brand-spanking new Hauppauge WinTV-HVR-2250 with dual digital tuners. I'm looking to watch free over-the-air digital TV (I'm in NYC). I hooked it up to WMC in Vista, but I get crappy reception. WMC claims I'm getting the digital channels, but on my monitor they're full of noise, exactly like a fuzzy analog channel would be. When I run WinTV, it only scans for analog channels, and they're really fuzzy too. How do I know if I'm getting digital channels?

man. some of those links above would've helped a couple days ago when i sat down trying to figure all this out. i did end up installing a video codec pack - something with the word "vista" in it (cccp did NOT work, but i thought my problems had to do with my 64 bit version of vista). i also installed nero burning rom (not any of the other useless software bundled with it) and things seem to work fine.

also, My Movies is an awesome program. i can add tons of dl'd video files and select the appropriate data for it for the library listing. i've also been able to create my own entries for things like anime (i can title one entry as Bleach 176-200, and once in there, list all 25 episodes for me to choose later when watching).

i have a question - i use my movies in vista mc. when i go into my movies from the vmc main menu, the resolution changes (becomes worse) and it doesnt look like it's a natural part of vmc. is there any way to "up" the resolution and make things look "smoother"?

I just installed Hauppauge 1800 in my computer, I have Vista Ultimate 32 bit. For some reason Vista MCE will not recognize the tuner, I can run WinTV6. I get as far as set up your tv signal and then it comes back no hardware tuner installed. How do I solve this for I would like to use MCE so I can get greater functionality from the remote control.
Thanks for any info you can give me.
