We had laminate flooring put in our house when we moved in and this year we noticed one of the transition strips is popping up from one of the sides. There's a metal track attached to it on the underside.

What's the best way to get it to stick down again?

Does it match the flooring, or does it look like vinyl?

Usually the transition strips are the first to fail, since they are made of some type of pressed wood that can't withstand the foot traffic. There is a vinyl "T" product that goes into a metal strip that hold up better, but doesn't look as nice.

Likely need a pic to give you any advice, but in our house, we've had trouble with the wood transition strip at the laundry area.
I wound up pulling it up, removing the nails, & using trim screws to hold it. Wood putty to fill the holes and it's held up for ~1-1/2 years.

It could be that the transition strip backing is separated/failed to stay on/in the grove backing.

Replace it, if it doesn't stay put after you tap it down.
