You guys notice how more and more TV shows/commercials and movies have token asian guys? (Like: Muscular asian guy in Playmakers they sometimes give pounds to / many, many commercials). We're finally getting recognized, its awesome. Soon we'll have the first academy award winning Asian best actor and actresses! It happened for African Americans (token black guys eventually led to halle/denzel's success) it can happen for us! Wooohoo.
 
Ooo ooo I hope us Irishmen are next, WTF is wrong with this world when America has no token Irish guy, after all I have this deep running bond with other Irish guys to where their success inflates my self image.

I long for the day when people see beyond the color of skin, but then again racism will probably manifest itself in other other forms, i.e. all this stupid France bashing. Another thing, you seem to think how far a race has come or whatever is shown by what is on TV, I would hope there are better measures than that, who cares how many asian americans are on TV.

the TV is such a mass media now that it corresponds directly to our culture and how people of races are viewed. even though, i too long for the day 1 million years from now when every race has mixed with every other race and every human is of a cream color. then, unfortunately its probably true, can everyone TRULY see beyond the color of skin.
