McDonald's 'Potato Party' Gets Korean Kids Allegedly Thrown Out Of Restaurant

Ever wonder what $250 worth of McDonald's french fries looks like? Great news. Thanks to a bunch of kids in South Korea, you can stop wondering.

A sale on fries at the fast food chain inspired a group of kids to order a ridiculous amount of them, according to the website Rocket News 24. Their order was so massive, in fact, that the kids took over multiple tables at the restaurant with fries covering every inch of available space.

The french fry party may have been funny for those involved, but it appears to have peeved off the eatery's other customers, whose food was delayed. The kids got so rambunctious, that a fed up worker ended up telling all of the kids to leave, according to Rocket News.

McDonald's did not respond to The Huffington Post's immediate request for comment Wednesday night.

Apparently, "potato parties" are quite trendy at McDonald's restaurants across Asia. The low price of fries in Japan recently led to hoards of students descending on McDonald's and ordering massive amounts of fries as well. At said potato parties, attendees are required to eat all of the fries before leaving, according to the Japan Daily Press.

One group of kids in Japan purchased a total of 60 large orders of fries, according to Kotaku. (In case you're counting, that's 30,000 calories worth.)

That's a lot of fries. Allegedly.

I can see that being dick-ish to other patrons, but it's good to know that they at least, supposedly, finish all of the food rather than just order it, take some pictures, and throw it out.

I could totally finish one table's worth of McDs fries...

it gets cold by the time I get home usually... I can't imagine eating all those fries past 15 minutes old.

You crazy man. McDs fries don't go bad... until you hit the half-hour mark, then they become rock hard like all other fries.

I like McD's fries cold. I used to sometimes purposely let them sit until they were cold. I generally prefer them hot, but sometimes I get in the mood for cold fries. McD's are the only ones I've found I like that way, aside from heavy cut western fries, or something like that.

This potato part thing happened in Japan first. McDonald's first had the French Fry sale there, you could get any size fry for like $1 I think it was.

They started kicking the kids out in Japan too after they crowded the restaurant and held these potato parties.

For fast food, Wendy's newer Sea Salt ones are pretty decent, Carl Jr's are usually really good. Jack In The Box & Arby's Seasoned Curly Fries are delicious. Pretty much every fry minus maybe Burger King's would be preferable to me over McDonald's.

My preference is McDs then Wendy's. Everyone else is filler and I'm not in the US, so a lot fewer choices when it comes down to chains. I like Wendy's because they're so much like McDs fries though... werd.
