I want to buy a few sets of chopsticks for cooking and eating. I'd like them to be nice non-disposeable sets. But, I cannot find any store that sells them. Maybe I'm stupid, but I went out and checked Target, Walmart, grocery stores, etc..

Go to an asian grocer or store?

pier 1 has some decent chop sticks. alternatively, your local chinese grocery will most certainly carry them.

eBay? I dunno...do you want a nice pair, or just a giant bunch of restaurant-type plastic ones?

I steal em from my mom.

I saw a really nice looking set of stainless ones at Marshalls. Not very practical, though.

Home Depot gives away free paint mixers. You can use them as provided or slice them thinner. You can also use them in an emergency in case you swallow your tongue.

Cheers!

Seems like I've rubbed off on some people :)

I suppose we'll have people asking where to buy 50lb bags of rice next, since they're not readily available at any Super Target/Walmart or non-Asian grocery store around here

Awright dude - I've been looking at that misspelling for about two weeks now, and it's pissing me off. Fix it, or take it out of your sig.

Please.

I'm ignorant and can't use chopsticks very well, but they seem inferior to a fork to me....especially for rice. Flame on if I'm wrong - but I'd rather be educated than ripped on.

only inferior if you don't know how to use them properly... they allow for more control and manipulation than a fork would, and asian rice is sticky enough that it works fine.

and there's no denying that the chinese spoon is far superior to the western one :)
