"Ashamed to be an American"

He has my cordial invitation to renounce his citizenship & get the hell out then.

Oh wait, maybe he isn't that ashamed?

Also:

Unfortunately, the White House seems flagrantly indifferent to the plight of the Palestinians. As we watch yet another massacre unfolding in yet another Palestinian refugee camp, we hear no condemnation and no criticism, but statements of guarded understanding from the Bush administration toward the Israeli actions.

It is not our job to police the world.

>>

Crap. I read the whole thing and missed the name. :disgust:

THose of you mentioning the name are WAY off base.

Names mean nothing, if my first name is John should I be associated with John Wayne Gacy?

Didn't think so.

This freedom of speech we have in this country is great, isn't it? This guy can tell everyone he's ashamed of his country, and he won't get thrown into jail or sent back to his original country by our government. Writing something like this and getting it published may not be a great idea, and he may get his ass kicked, but that's our job, not the government's job. F him and everybody that looks like him.

He says:

"Hebron is part of the historical Palestine, a country that once existed but currently is not on the list of nations."

Good GAWD do people think we're stupid??? There has NEVER been a country called "Palestine." For the past few hundred years, that region has been ruled by various other countries. Until after 1967 the Arabs living there did NOT consider themselves "Palestinian" but Syrian. Until 1967 the Arabs rejected the label "Palestine" as a Jewish word.

I guess the saying goes; if you tell a lie often enough, people will believe it.

Saying there EVER was a country called "Palestine" is about as honest as saying there was a country called "Midwest" in what is the US.

<< okay I am starting a paypal account to buy this a-hole a plane ticket back to Hebron. >>

Sweet...did someone start one for Alec Baldwin too?

Osama Shabaneh of Redmond, WA is ashamed to be an American you say? Pretty outspoken for someone who seems to be listed in switchboard.com.

At least he is prosperous while being ashamed, or else I imagine he'd go back, no?

This guy is a full-blown Islamist. Run his name under Google and you can find some more of his work. He?s a scumbag!

OR call him up! 🙂

<< I don't expect ordinary Americans who were born and raised in this country to understand my viewpoint. They have no memories of a childhood marred by oppression and scenes of occupation. Their families live in relative peace and tranquility. If they call other family members, the conversation probably doesn't revolve around who was shot today, or arrested today, or maimed today, or displaced today. The media footage Americans receive from the Middle East hardly portrays the Israeli brutality, but does accentuate the suicide bombings committed by Palestinians against Israeli civilians. >>

There is truth to what he has to say. He has seen things that we have not. All of us are snug on this side of the hemisphere, but its a different story over there. I have not chosen a side, nor pretend to understand either side of this conflict. Its ugly, people are dying, and I hate it. But I don't know which side to choose.

Damn, you're right. This guy is a hard core activist type. Well, that figures, only an activist could be that full of sh!t.

While I'm often the first to blame Sharon in this mess, this guy's perspective is even more twisted, but then, thats what I'd expect from Muslim terrorist sympathizers...

His attempt at garnering sympathy from the general public failed miserably when he conveniently avoids mentioning that unlike the Palestinian guerilla nuts, the Isrealis don't aim to terrorize the general public first and foremost... Among other reasons that is...

Man you guys love to jump down his throat! If he was an immigrant working without citzenship and condemning the US I can see the "If you don't like it leave" attitude but this guy is a citzen of the US. He is a citzen to only one country. He is merely offering a differing opinion from the majority. Whether it is right or wrong the "You don't like it get the f**k out" attitude is a bit short sighted.

You don't have to agree with what he said but he is as much as a citizen as anyone here even if he was not born in the US; he immigrated like your ancestors.

What gets me is how the palestinians fail to see the government they have creates the situation theyre in. When they were left to theyre own accord, given land and a government to rule it: Terrorist attacks continued. Israeli CITIZENS....not just military personnell, were specifically targeted. The Palestinian people as a whole need to wake up and stand on their own two feet. Expecting the world to feed, clothe and house you is accepting the rules that come with the aid. Stand on your own two feet and hold free elections. Vote those who continue to use terrorist rhetoric and action OUT OF AUTHORITY. Show the world your not the passive, easily lead sheep they've been lead to believe you are. Prove that you can stand and work as a nation and you will be treated as such. If Israeli occupation bothers you so much, show defiance through non-violent resistance. Ghandi did it and proved his point. The Israeli people have eyes too. They see the brutality their military inflicts with their occupation, but they also see the body parts of innocent jewish citizens scraped off the streets daily when your....yes YOUR elected official is left to his own means. Occupation is a reaction to an action started with a palestinian terrorist attack. After Forty years, isnt it possible to look back and see the wasted lives and horrible tragedies inflicted on both parties, as a sign? Your histories are written in blood. With what will your future be written? True peace comes with a price. Havent you both paid enough?

<< Names mean nothing, if my first name is John should I be associated with John Wayne Gacy? >>

No but if your middle name was Wayne or Lee I'd be even more wary of you than I already am!!😉

wnied Part of the problem is that so many people in the middle east are uneducated and legendarily ignorant. If they can read they're reading the quaran. Sure they aren't all stupid but the populations as a whole are very uneducated and ignorance breeds vulnerability. If you're stupid and living in a hut and have a crappy life it doesn't take much for somebody to give you what you consider hope.
