This kit is at the top of my short list. It reviews very well and should fit my case like a glove.

What I'd like are opinions, good or bad, on the unit itself and any ideas or suggestions you feel like offering.
 
I'm new to this as well and read a review at Guru3D.com on it. Looks good. I'd like to here from people as well.
 
honestly i would buy individual parts for better performance and less cost...but if you reall want to buy a kit...asteck would be the way to go

I'm forced to agree, except for the cost aspect. Bait-and-Switch seems like the order of the day. The problem is that most sites don't make the process of buying parts very easy. And others seem downright hostile towards the idea (10mm? Plug-n-Cool? Just tell me what the fitting sizes are, 3/8 or 1/2!!!). I tried to put together a cooler at dangerden only to find out that one crucial part won't be in until the 16th. Which in the computer world means they have no idea when it'll be there. 😉

Can you suggest any sites?

I palced a small ,$30 , order from these guys and got it the next day and only payed for UPS ground shipping. They seem to have a good selection of watercooling parts.
 
Thanks. Great site. Also, I'm leaning more towards a custom solution after looking around a bit. So far Dangerden blocks (CPU and NB, TDX and Maze4 respectively) and the DD 12v pump. Criticool PP rev 2 and a dual 5 1/4 bay rez, all tied together with 1/2 in. clear-flex tubing.
 
Danger Den is a great site or Dteck customs...there are many others you can check over in the cases and cooling section. Personally i have had about 7-8 transactions with DangerDen and spent about 800- 1000 bucks eversince they started and all have been pretty smooth. I mena its not as fast as newegg but they have quality goods and get the products out to you within a week of placing your order if not sooner. This is the parts that i suggest you get all in 1/2 in

DD rbx or tdx cpu waterblock but if you can wait and get one Casade block would be awesome
swiftech mcp600 pump (the cheapest place i found this is at svc)
Blace Ice Extreme Rad or one of WA2 dual 120 mm rad if you can fit it
Resivor of you choice (bay res, WA2 res., or pvc tubing) can be bought at DD, svc,dteck
1/2 in tygon check the for sale trade foruims or order from DD
Maze 4 gpu block or silverprop if your willing to spend the extra cash

Make sure you got a good psu also
 
Great company, but Iwent Koolance 601 case last year (april 2003) and recently ordered Koolance 650 series case. I don't mind of Koolance running the smaller diameter tubing. My first machine stays a constant 30-32 degrees celsuis, overclocking a P4-2.8C to 3.5Ghz. I haven't really tried to go any higher by adjusting voltages, memory sticks,etc. Its on a Abit IS7 motherboard,

The newest case the 650, I haven't put that together yet, I have a Prescott P4-2.8E cpu, Abit IC7-G max2, Corsair twin LL DDR3200 memory.
Maybe be ready in a week or so.

I've looked at the Koolance cases and external units for some time. TBH, I think 1/2in. ID is worth the hassle of refitting my current case. Essasin, what makes the cascade blocks better than the RBX and TDX offerings? Also, which would you guys suggest in terms of a resevoir, or should should I go with some like a swiftech fill-and-bleed system?
 
I ordered one of the asetek kits, the version with the larger radiator and pump. will be sticking it into an antec 160 case in the near future.

Case and kit show up this week, will be moving an existing abit ic-7g + p4 3.4 to that case, still waiting on a new vidcard though, not sure if I'm going to end up with an 800xt or a 6800 gt at this point.

I'll do lots of before and after pictures.

As far as doing it better ordering piece by piece, I'm not the type of person to go through that type of hassle to shave off a 10th of a percentage point in performance. I'm more the type to buy the kit, then upgrade parts of it over time, if I find a component that is significantly better.
 
Well, I pulled the trigger on my WC system. I went with DD blocks (TDX for the CPU) and the sweet little D4 pump. It's all going to be held together with Tygon tubing and a dual 5 1/4 Tundra bay res. Any fittings I forgot are coming from Home Depot. The entire project will come in at just under $300. I'm going to be using red uv die, just to be different. 🙂 I'd like to thank you all for the timely advice. And if you hear popping and fizzing coming from the general direction of Illinois you'll know it's me getting my "feet wet"! 😉
 
kit came yesterday, case came today. Just waiting for the proxxon to arrive so I can start cutting it up, lol.

I tore down the case, took measurements, looks like my master plan is feasible, we'll see.
