I was messing around with my ATI 3D settings and found an option to render OpenGL as ASCII text.

This was pretty big news... three months ago.

the effects came about with Cat3.8s, I believe. there was a discussion abuot how ATi was planning to allow for independent development of filters such as that, and how it could possibly be exploited.
