Hi all,

Just got this Morpheus GeForce3 card and I'm having trouble installing the drivers for it.
I'm using Windows XP Pro and we all know that the standard video drivers that come with any OS are crap.
I wanted to install the latest NVIDIA 28.32 Detonator drivers but it just won't install for some reason.
After the installatiion process is complete, it doesn't ask me to restart my PC as it usually would.
I installed the manufacturer drivers from the CD, but for some reason there's no control panel to adjust my G3 card.
That means I can't setup the Direct3D, OpenGL and AA settings anywhere.
Help me out here guys. I'm tearing my hair out. I can't seem to install the NVIDIA reference drivers which I've been using all the time with my G2 Pro.
On top of that, I also cannot find the Morpheus web site anywhere. It seems like a join manufacturer with 3D Power/Absolute Graphics. I can't find a web site for them as well.

Thanks in advance.

Just download the Geforce Tweak Utility and stick with the manufacturer's drivers. That will give you the adjustability you're looking for.

Problem is with the Manufacturer's drivers, for some reason, there is no hardware support... and it looks like they don't support Windows XP. I always go with the NVIDIA Detonators but in this case, the OSs standard Microsoft 'digital signed driver' overwrites the 'not digitally signed' Detonators.

Gasping for air, help!

I bought a Morpheus card about a year ago, they are in England and basically unreachable.
On the other hand, I've also bought U.S. (New Jersy based) PNY cards and they are also unreachable -
no reply voice mail.

But anyway, just remove your video card from device manager, reboot, redetect, and start fresh. Ignore the
message from XP that the drivers are not WHQL - just give MS the finger.

"All drivers that come with OS are crap"
The drivers that come with XP are 12.41 and may be the only ones that work without crashing in D3D since
later drivers are much more aggressive.

heh believe me, I've done it all... The Windows XP drivers are extremely slow in games. I've tried Flight Simulator 2002 Pro 5 min ago and the frame rate varied between 13fps and 16fps... With my GeForce2 Pro 64MB and Detonators 28.32 I get anywhere between 28fps and 120fps. Similar scores went for MOHAA. But after a couple of coffees and a couple of Tylenol pills I think I have to be in a Administrator account if I want to install any system drivers. The problem is, I forgot how to get to a Administrator account. It doesn't show up a Windows Logon... Only shows my user name that I created. Could anyone help?

back to the books heh...
