ASA acting weird

Seems no matter what I do my ASA 5510 is always on "rommon +0>" mode after every reload. If I type in boot, it comes up fine with no errors but after I reload, it comes back to rommon. I wiped my configuration and using the default config and still the same. I manually added in a line boot system disk0:/imagename and a valid image and no success. What could be the issue? I get no errors indicating it could not find an image or that the image is bad (I'm assuming thats why it goes into rommon because it cannot find an image?)

look up "configuration register". You can tell the device to not load software and only go into rommon. It's probably set to not load software.
