Ok now, I use the method of putting a small blob of as5 on the heatspreader and letting it squish and spread on my p4's... Since the Heatspreader is similar on the a64, are you all using the same methog for it?

I too would like to know, as I am getting ready to replace my stock HSF on my A64 with a aftermarket one.

I follow Arctic Silver's Instructions, just 'cause. That's basically what they recommend for CPUs with heat spreaders, but I have also read that it's better to have the entire contact surface of the A64 spreader covered with the thin layer of compound.

I like to spread a nice even, thin coat. Then I don't have to wonder if the CPU is covered completely. :)
