AS3 compared to the stock SLK-800A paste comparison

When I installed my SLK-800A, I used the stock thermal paste. Anyone know what type of paste this is? And does anyone know how it compares to Artic Silver 3?

AS3 will perform better than that. There is a growing list of thermal interfaces you can use now that are really good. So do yer research. And it's not hard, there's been two articles and a few threads on thermal interface compound roundups that include generic silcone-based pastes such as the ones you're using.

I recommned Type 44 thermal compound over Artic Silver III. It's just performed better in my experience.
