AS2 cure time??? Still curing....

Update: The system idles are still getting better as system temps remain high....I am seeing 44c at 30c system temps...Last night it was consistenly 40c with 26c and hit even 39c with 25c...I have been running 100% TO 0% over the last couple days and it seems to be helping...

just a bit more research on my temps being done...

I have noticed after a night of prime95 and a day of divx encoding I notice now the idle temps are about 2c less at same system temp....

At 27c I am at 42c cpu...My normal system temp is closer to 25c...another warm muggy day in portland...so I may look at cpu dropping down to 40c for idle...I noticed my load today was also 1.5-2c less doing during 2-1/2 divx encoding versus last night after install and application...

Have others noticed this??? Is it the as2 cure thing??? I have heard a 3-4 day thing...Does heavy use help cure it faster???

I hadn't noticed it before but I may admit I may have been putting a bit too much on the last couple of times...When I would remove hsf after 2 weeks it was like I just installed it a minute before...

I like to put the cpu to both extremes of heat right after a fresh application. After burn in testing, I turn the system off for the night, and the next day it powers up and the ASx is up and running at max 🙂

Yeah that is pretty much what I did...new application....8 hours plus of prime...shutdown...then 5 hours of divx the next morning....my idle temp now for 25c system is 40c....that was a drop of 3c versus saturday night....

Even right now I am running 41c at 27c and it is already warm in the room by my standards 77f...

Sounds about right. I spread it on as thinly and evenly as possible like you could see through it. After a day or so, it is settled in. When you take off the HS, it will be more of a "sticky paste" consistancy than wet. 40C Idle sounds pretty good. My idle temp with the stock HS/Fan runs 7C above case temp. My case temp is usually 29 - 32C.
