As you stroke it, it seems so silky yet you know the hardness underneath

... it's that boundry, than infinite millimeter of sensation. Touch it lightly and it's like rubbing air. A gentle push, and it could go over the top. You know it's cherry and that means something special. Just the fingertips riding the smoothness like an ice cream slide, traveling along the edges. It teases, it calls, yet be slow to answer. No hurry. It's a special time.

Sensuality

Close up of working it.

So it would seem 😀

In reality I have a few friends on here who have interests in woodworking, and are interested in the work in progress. It's easier to do this than multiple PM's.

Besides, it makes for an amusing thread title.

There is a true sensuality involved for those who work with wood. It isn't sex, but it's still pretty good 😀

Hard to explain, but tis true.

Yeah, but the "wood" never complains of having a headache. 😉

Oh thank goodness.. it was just a Jewelery box...
lol the temptation to see WTF was just too tempting...

very prettiful...

Don't hate me, but I see a bit of tear out on the dovetails left hand side, maybe a chunk o wood in back of the board would have helped minimize the tear out.

That being said, It's much better than I've done or could do @ this point, strong work. Where do the timer & explosives go?

It's awful pretty. I like the way you softened the edges of the burl inlay.

Ever try Minwax Antique Oil Finish?

Gives a real nice oil look with much more permanence.

I'm a big fan of using an under coat of shellac too.
