Biggest priority would be to do whatever it takes to stop corporate corruption. First step would be that the government would absolutely not cater to any company or take up any kind of bribes. In fact any attempts at bribery would invoke a full blown investigation of the company to ensure there is not other corruption going on behind the scenes. I guess with the new system there would maybe not be much individual companies though, but if there were, they would be highly regulated so that everybody gets a fair pay and that no weird behind the scenes stuff goes on that screws people over. Capitalism would be completely out the window.
Another big priority would be green energy, in order to try to reverse the destruction that has happened to the planet. Lots of efforts would be poured into researching electrical energy storage methods that can be more dense than fossil fuel so that even big machines can run on electricity.
I would also get rid of all the stupid bureaucracy and red tape that exists in this world. Especially things like HOAs or ridiculous regulations, that would be all out the window.
In general people would be free to do what they want as long as it does not negatively impact other people, and those cases would be treated on a case per case basis. There would not be such thing as lawsuits either. Cases that would typically involve a lawsuit would be treated in such a way that makes sense.
I would also get rid of intellectual property. If technology is available to do something that can benefit everyone, then everyone would have access to it. For example things like vaccines and drugs. Same with entertainment, if something can be copied, then it would not be illegal to do so. The whole idea of people being sued millions of dollars over copying a few files would be out the window as well.
I'd also toy with a new tax system. You would only get taxed once and you could pick what the money goes towards. Ex: healthcare, education, and at the municipal level, more specific things like fixing of a certain road etc. There would be no more scandals where the government wasted millions of tax dollars on some stupid thing.
In general the goal would be to make the general public happy, not just the ones with more pull or more money.
