You are probably very happy that you didn't lose a limb after all that damage. At least you are getting better now. Hopefully you will remain infection free through the process and your full recovery will be speedy.

wow, nasty, my mom was bit on the hand by a brown recluse a few months ago but she was lucky and there was no necrosis.

All that from a tiny little spider? Scary. Good thing they aren't on the East Coast...

I don't think I'd be able to continue on if I knew I had cadaver skin. Thankfully for my grafts (car accident) they used my thigh and chest as donor sites.

It's all in your head though. There's really no difference.

I'm at work the other day, and my dog (A 10 pound Min Pin) was pouncing on, and growling at something. It was a brown recluse. He'd pick it up with his mouth and throw it then run over to it and pounce on it. I was both horrified and proud all at once.

It's a dead guys skin. That would be enough. That its skin wouldn't concern me, and I hope they are giving me drip morphine because I'd be freaking out. It's that the guy (or girl) it was formerly attached to is dead.

You should sue the hospital where they treated the bite. Spiders don't do that, unsterilized medical equipment/conditions do. It would be quite odd if you had necrotizing bacteria around your home, so it almost surely came from the MD.
