As PC prices become cheaper, the price of console games (ps/xbox/nintendo) gets more expensive. And people still buy.

Besides FPS, the BEST games for Genre's like RPG's, Racing, Fighting, and Sports are on console.

Plus (depending who you are and where you are) consoles are more social. I consider myself both a PC and a console gamer, and I like playing CS:S with my roommate, but I also like getting together with a buncha guys and playing Halo 2 in the dorm.

If I had to pick though, it'd be Console hands down.

thats funny, i can do that now on my pc. you act like every time you turn on your pc you have to do all that stuff.

i can't believe anyone would think of patches as a bad thing. its there to improve them game, whether its fixing bugs, adding more content, or both.

Depends on the genera. If you like non-Japanese RPGs, MMORPGS, RTS, and FPSs, PC all the way. Sports, party, Japanese RPGs, and fighting games are locked by the console.

None is better. They are all good...

The PC driver/incompatibility/hassle thing is nearly moot. I haven't seen a mainstream PC game that was unstable in quite a while. (after checking review that it wasn't a half-assed release)

consoles are OK for some things, racing/sports games, and party games. Its real convineint to pop in super monkey ball 2 on my $50 game cube and play a good hours worth of games with some people...can't do that with a PC :)

That said, it is nice to be able to kick back on my couch play some football, hockey, or race some people online.

I own a gaming rig and a console, and each has a very specific purpose. I don't see one replacing the other in my household unless the manufacturers force me to make a decision (ie, by only releasing PC titles as console ports).

Almost word for word (I dont do racing games) I am the same.

360 for sports, action, GTA type games

PC for RTS, FPS, etc.

Just curious, have you tried GTA on the PC? I prefer it much more. I WAITED to play VC and SA on the PC, and it was worth it. Auto-aim make me feel dirty! :D

1. To play the latest and greatest games, I have to keep upgrading my video card. With a console I know I can play every game that ever comes out for it.
2. I don't have to deal with driver conflicts and crashing and whatnot... my consoles just work.
3. I don't pay a lot of money for consoles. I bought my GameCube and Xbox for $100 each.
4. I buy all of my games used. I don't think there's much of a used game market for PCs.
5. I like my console controllers. If I want to use a gamepad on a PC, I have to configure the controls to match what I like.
6. Nintendo makes some awesome games, but not for PC.
7. Consoles are better for multi-play when you're all in the same room. PCs are only good for networked multiplayer.

The only games that I play that are better on a PC than a console are RTSes. I'm not a fan of FPSes.
