Hah, my friends and I quit every January. It works this way, you opt in before Jan 1 and anyone who cracks or accidentally drinks has to cover the tab when we all go out on Feb 1. The first person down is always nervous that no one else will fall, its usually a decent bar tab (despite being 8-10 people that hadn't drank in a while). Good way to start the year.

I have not had an alc beverage in a month as of today. I am really proud of myself, feels good, and I know I can live without it.
To some of you this is nothing, but I am more addressing those who drink beers all the time like Clamum.

But I can't wait to have my first bee...lol ummm

We should go out and celebrate, campagne toasts. ;)

clamum is a lightweight... I drink way more beers than him.

I got me a few talls of High Life for The Unit tonight followed by TF2 I suspect.

I gave up drinking for 6 months while a friend was in AA. It wasn't hard at all.

The hard part was downing 4 shots of Patron my first night back on the hooch.

Nice work op but remember quitting for a month isn't quitting!

Just drink. It helps your body and mind. Think of it like this:

A herd of zebras is being chased by a lion. There are a few in the group who are slower than the rest. Because of the zebras pack mentality, they will slow their overall pace so that the slower/injured zebras can keep up to some extent. Now, when the lion catches those slow/underperforming zebras, the whole pack is able to speed up and operate that much more efficiently.

The lion is beer, and the lame ducks are your slow brain cells. Drinking helps speed up your brain function by killing off the slowest brain cells!

What happened to the Zebras?

why?

Because I became a corrupted Muslim after going to college here, I fell in LOVE with beer, and this month is Ramadan so I had to at least show some respect and not drink during this month. That is really why, it is ashame.

oh so the beer made you corrupt. i get it. ;)

how about next month, will you go back to your LOVE of beer?

I am going back on the beer this weekend :)

Uh I haven't gotten drunk since my birthday (Aug 25). The only alcohol I've had then was the free wine sample at Olive Garden last Sunday. Big deal.
