Huzzah! :D

I really owned that test too.

SECTION I: TROUBLESHOOTING
RHCT requirements: completion of compulsory items (50 points)

Compulsory troubleshooting score: 50.0

SECTION II: INSTALLATION AND CONFIGURATION
RHCT minimum requirements: 70 percent on RHCT components

Installation and Configuration score: 100.0%

RHCT Certification: PASS

There were a few parts that I got a little stuck and had to do some digging through man pages to find the answers, but overall I prepared well and it was welcome change from the multiple choice style exams. :)

Back 4 or 5 years ago I could have passed above 95%. Unfortunately... today, I would probably be in the 60% area.

Use it or lose it!

Awesome....you're certified in a completely useless OS!

I kid! I kid!

I just am not a *nix fan.

The IT hiring manger at the job interview seemed impressed that I was scheduled to take the exam. He was looking for people with linux experience, but wanted some one with a few years of real world experience for the projects he wanted to launch.

SSH is not allowed, nor is internet access. No notes or other materials of any kind. However, you can use whatever is part of the RHEL install, such as man pages, and system configuration tools. It is a timed test though, so you really don't have the time to digest man pages. The trouble shooting part of the test is 1 hour and the second part is installation/configuration is 2 hours.

Edit - With the recent completion of my AAS degree, this pretty much concludes my technical training at that school. My bachelor's degree program starts the first week of June. A fews off from school and then its back to the grind.
