Here's another reason not to eat at McDonalds.
I ask: Can I get a cup of water?
McD Counterperson: We don't have any water. You can buy a bottled water.
I ask: Can I speak to the manager?
McD Manager: We can't give you a cup of water, but you can buy a bottled water.
I say: Cancel my order and give me a refund. The food is dry here and I wouldn't want to choke on my meal.
I exit and go eat somewhere else. This has happened to me about five times. I don't bother going to McDonalds anymore. It's a waste of time.
On an upbeat note; I was eating at Jack in The Box in an urban location during a hot summer day. People, not even customers, were walking in and asking for a glass of water and they were served a glass of ice water, free. Jack in The Box was an asset to the community rather than being run by unbridled corporate greed like McDonalds.
UPDATE: I just sent a copy of my post to McDonalds Corporate Offices. I wonder if they'll respond. I figured I had e-mail, what the heck.
