Deangelo Hall talks just as much smack as the next DB. All I have to say is if you go around talking smack, then when people spit at you, or smack you upside the head after a play then its deserved.

Talking smack deserves being spit in the face? You're a flippin' retard.

LOL, where's the video? The league will review but if there is no footage anywhere a suspension is not gonna happen, maybe not even a fine.

Intentionally using ANY bodily fluid as a means of retribution or insult is just flatout disgusting.

Something tells me TO wouldn't take it lightly if someone came up to him on the street and spit on him. Just because it's a football game doesn't change a damn thing.

I would love to see that happen..then he can be arrested for assault charges as well.

Other NFL players have been penalized for spitting too. What were their penalties?

Syringer--Your obsession and vitriol over this incident is disturbing. Did you bet against the Cowboys and lose $$?

Bill R. for the Broncos was fined $7500 for spitting in JJ Stokes face in 1997. This was caught on tape too. What was very surprising was that TO admitted to spitting in Hall's face after the game on the NFL Network. To my knowledge, there is yet to be any video evidence of this incident.

On a side note, why are a lot of people in this thread bring up Spiders?

I'm sure he figures if it's his word against Hall's he'd lose out, and that there likely would've been footage of it..so it'd be silly for him to deny it.

LOL at Syringer's bias.

Plenty of players have spat at others in the past and they only get fines, many more do it and do not get caught.

Here is what I want to know - TO says it was inadvertant, it wasn't like a directed loogie like the one Sean Taylor planted last year, and that in his postgame conferance he was apologizing for the inadvertant spit. Now, you know if you watch any Cowboys game, there are 1-2 cameras following T.O. the ENTIRE game. Where is the replay? Why haven't we seen any footage of this happening?

Now, don't get me wrong, its messed up to spit on someone - but worse things happen in a football game, I think things like late hits (which hall was doing all game by the way), the stuff that goes on in the pile, etc. A fine is definitely in order, but a suspension would be out of the question. This is football, its a man's game, so take the good with the bad.

As for his performance this year - yea he's had some stupid drops, but considering he broke one finger earlier in the year, is playing with an injured tendon in another, and still has 1040 yards and leads the league with 11TDs....come on, you can't say THAT much negative about how he's played this year. Especially considering Bledsoe threw to him half as often and half as well as Romo has the last 8 weeks.

Look at the poll, 78% of the people here believe he should be suspended. In fact I only thought he should be suspended for one game.

If you were to poll all the NFL players what they believe is the most disrespectul (not necessarily the worst) thing that another person can do to them in a game, it's spitting. Not to mention the fact that this is TO, and with all his baggage there needs to be a point that the league needs to send him a message that he needs to shapen up..compared to say if a guy like LT were to do this.

The poll is like that because people are biased against TO also. That's why you or them are not the commisoner.

Media sheep. Bahhhhhhhh

Not to mention he is tearing up the defenses and people are jealous. :p

Same as Shockey, you hate him until he's on your team.
