Have you ever been driving somewhere and had some asshole come up on the shoulder and pass you right before you round a turn and pass a an unattentive cop? Or been out driving and saw another complete assmunch dumping his kids six Mcdonalds happy meals trash out the window? Well...
Tonight I got to take my Completely Frame up Restored 1973 Camaro Z28 out for a spin for the first time. On driving it up the main drag in the little town I live in, some teenage moron in hepped up Honda Vtec decides hes going to push his way up to get in the lane next to me at the light. He makes it after cutting two or three people off in the process.(one of those being a minivan with a few kids in it) My car is a loud old 70's musclecar with enough horse power to fart its way past this little ricer, but also to attract every cop within a 10 miles radius too upon doing so. So the light turns green and the kid in the vtec takes off like a bat outta hell. I leave the light at normal speed(and strain to show restraint. The vtec speeds off down the road and over the hill ahead. I figure its the last I see of him, good riddance. As I make my way over the far hill, I come upon a nasty accident scene. Guess who. Seems he lost control of the car at the top of the hill and wrapped it around a telephone poll at the slight turn at the bottom of the hill. As I get there, theres another driver pulled over and checking out the car.
I pulled over and got out to see if there was anything I could do to help. We end up pulling him out of the back seat(or whats left of it) as hes unconscious. After ten minutes the police arrive and take over. I tell them what happend, and they run a check on the car....Guess what again? No registration, no insurance and guess whose license is suspended for driving under the influence. They carted his ass off to the hospital with a police escort.
As I live and breathe I never thought I would live to see the day that irony got the best of someone else for a change.
