as far as tire quality goes where does goodyear stand agianst other tire brands?

I am looking at buying soem tires at sams club and im wondering how goodyear racks up against other tire brands.

I would GUESS pretty good. I had firestones and those were good too. These were both car tires.

my kids and wife ride this car so i will defintiely not be buying the cheapest they have 😛

I used to buy Goodyear exclusively until my father in-law talked me into trying out some Cooper tires. I've been buying Coopers now for about 10 years and am very pleased with them. I just bought a set of Cooper Discover AT for my truck and just put a third set on my mini van since I have owned it. It originally came with Firestones which didn't last nearly as long as the Coopers have.

Goodyear is good.

I usually stick with whatever CostCo has or Michelin brand.

0 grip... total junk.

I like Bridgestone, or Yokohama.

Michelin is all I'll buy. I paid $157 per tire last time. I think tires are something you shouldn't skimp on. Especially if this is for your wife and kids!

I've looked into this after almost buying goodyears out of convenience.

just put a set of Yokohama Avid Touring tires on my van. I cannot believe how well the are handling the snow/slush of the past couple of weeks.

$54/tire for 215 60 16's - not too shabby

They beat the crap out of the Goodyear Eagle LS tires on my wife's van. I've never been very impressed with Goodyear. I've had many cars from GM with the Eagle LS tires - loud and worthless in the winter. Also had Regatta2's and they were only marginally better.
